Top 3 Tropical Bartender Shirts

Quite often the staff at Wave Shoppe Hawaiian shirts will get calls from bartenders asking for recommendations on staff shirts. Since lighting in bars is normally low, its important to choose a shirt color that can not only be seen in poor lighting, but one that can also be spotted against a room full of people.

Think of the "where's waldo" pictures, they are a big meld of colors and shapes and its really difficult to spot waldo. Our knowledgeable customer service staff takes everything into account when making recommendations, lighting, themes, quantity of staff etc..

For bars that cater to crowds of people that mainly flock around a jukebox or karaoke, we usually recommend something like the blue Hawaiian shirt with Plumeria flowers (pictured).

This particular design looks good with the dark colored pants most bartender wear and it hides stains well.

Occasionally getting splashed while making drinks just comes with the territory.

That brings us to bars that have more of a tropical décor, such as a Jimmy Buffet theme or heavy decor like you would see in a tropical bar in the Florida keys or in the Bahamas.

For bartenders looking for clothing for those types of situations we recommend more of an engineered design.

Our recommendation would be something like our orange Hawaiian shirt with parrots which hides stains well, largely due to the airbrushed background.

Lastly we have a Hawaiian shirt for bartenders that work in totally crazy environments such as big open bars and weekly pool parties that feature live music. Ugly Hawaiian shirts do the trick.

These places need special clothing because you not only need to be seen, but also remembered.

Any bartender that works in these conditions will tell you they need to be see, weather they are making a announcement or calling out a drink special or even when greeting people, they need to be seen.

We would like to add that bars with at least a dozen employees often opt to buy Hawaiian shirts in bulk at wholesale prices. This service is geared towards bars that have a specific theme such as sail fish, beer bottles or a particular plant or animal. We have processed single orders for upwards of 1000 pieces, so we are sure we can handle just about any size order you can throw at us.

Mini Hawaiian Store located inside the Yuma Indoor Market

Today's post is going to be about our little kiosk space in Yuma AZ. People that are familiar with Wave Shoppe Hawaiian Shirts knows that we are always working on ways to better serve web customers, as well as local residents.

Our kiosk is a mini Hawaiian store located inside the Yuma Indoor Market. Our store carries our most popular items such as mens Hawaiian shirts , Hawaiian muumuu dresses and quite a few essential accessories.

Its full a full service Hawaiian store that has racks full of shirts and we accept all major credit cards as well as the old standby, cash.

The kiosk is only open during the winter months, but we have been slowly attracting a following of locals. We hope to reach out even more as we get to know more people here and have opportunities to meet some of the local hula groups.

We just added tribal lava lava clothing in 3 colorways that should be popular with the locals that live here, especially so in this hot desert climate.

We are inside the air conditioned marketplace and located next to American Pride clothing store, whom offers really cool military themed t-shirts and accessories. The store is owned and operated by a lady named Brenda. Brenda is cool to be around and she even volunteers to watch our kiosk when we cant be around.

I would link to her website but she does not have one, I guess she is just a few months old and still in startup mode. But if your in the area stop by and check out her offerings.

The shirts make you feel happy when you wear them.

If you ask me summer can not get here quick enough. between the months of December and March we spend a lot of our time making Hawaiian shirts for our company website that has all of the Hawaiian shirts and clothing in our inventory, as well as stock for our Amazon Store and lastly, our display kiosk in Yuma Arizona.

This is the time of year that customers start stocking up on Aloha, the weather is improving in many states and people are thinking luaus. Admittedly the clothing is brightly colored and not for everyone. But for our customers that do wear Hawaiian clothing, they say the bright colors and designs simply make them feel happier.

Quite often we have people buying their first Aloha shirt. Ladies will often pick something safe like the womens Hawaiian shirt with parrots

We also offer a nice selection of Hawaiian muumuu dresses which are gaining in popularity.

Well its back to work (folding shirts) so have a great day and mahalo for visiting!

Oh I almost forgot! All of our clothing is made right here in the USA

How many different ways can you write about a Hawaiian shirt?

Today I was sitting in my comfy chair enjoying all the sun and warm weather (its 84 degrees today) and contemplating writing a Blog post about Hawaiian shirts and then it dawned on me, how many different ways can you write about a Hawaiian shirt?

I did some Web searches hoping to see what some Island authors have written lately but it appears that most of the writings are just a bunch of gibberish. So I turned my thoughts inward and started looking at the shirt I am currently wearing.

My Hawaiian shirt is an oldie but goodie, I believe its one of the very early shirts produced by Wave Shoppe in Southern California. If I were to describe it I would say that it is light grey in color with splashes of medium grey in the background, burgundy/rust colored foliage, turtles and outrigger canoes.

Now we have the condition of the Hawaiian shirt, in which I should mention is made out of polycotton. I think for a shirt that has been washed at least once a week for the last 6 years that it is in wonderful shape. Sure it has a few lightly frayed edges, especially near the lower hem, its still a cool and comfortable shirt to wear. This garment even has the original coconut buttons!

So there you have it, a post about Hawaiian shirts that’s actually honest as well as original. Penned while
sitting in paradise!

The island of Maui is bigger than a Hawaiian shirt

The island of Maui, or Maui  as the locals refer to it, is the second-largest of the Hawaiian Islands weighing in at a whopping at 727.2 square miles of paradise!

While Maui is not the largest of the Hawaiian islands it one of the more picturesque and boasts some of the finest snorkeling on the planet.

So how does a Hawaiian apparel manufacturer pay homage to such a beautiful island?

Thats easy, you commission a mens Hawaiian shirt that encapsulates all of the beauty of Maui, of which includes beautiful island flowers and foliage, and appropriately name it the Maui Hawaiian shirt!
